On June 12<sup>th<\/sup> 2025, vaccination officially began in the control arm of the study in the Bouss\u00e9 district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This important step comes after several weeks of intensive preparation. From May 26<sup>th<\/sup>\u201328<sup>th<\/sup> 2025, Site Initiation Visits were conducted, accompanied by staff training sessions. A first round of community sensitization took place from June 5<sup>th<\/sup>&#8211; 6<sup>th<\/sup>, 2025, to engage local populations and ensure strong community participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignleft size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"510\" height=\"382\" src=\"https:\/\/www.imvacs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Immagine1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-946\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.imvacs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Immagine1.jpg 510w, https:\/\/www.imvacs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Immagine1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.imvacs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Immagine1-16x12.jpg 16w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 510px) 100vw, 510px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Burkina Faso, unlike Mali, vaccination is administered exclusively at health facilities. Mothers bring their children to the nearest Centre de Sant\u00e9 to receive their vaccines. No outreach or alternative delivery strategies are implemented. To ensure alignment with the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI), both training and sensitization activities followed national EPI protocols and tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The vaccination will cover 10 health areas within the Bouss\u00e9 district:<br>Golmidou, Gonsin, Koui, Lao, Mouni, Sandogo Bouss\u00e9, Sanon, Sao, Sourgoubila, and Zeguedeghin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignright size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"548\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.imvacs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Immagine2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-947\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.imvacs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Immagine2.jpg 548w, https:\/\/www.imvacs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Immagine2-300x197.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.imvacs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Immagine2-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 548px) 100vw, 548px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The launch was marked by the presence of Dr. Natama H. Magloire from Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique et Technologique \/ Institut de Recherche en Sciences de la Sant\u00e9 (CNRST\/IRSS), who is both the Principal Investigator for Burkina Faso trial site and the Scientific Coordinator of the IMVACS project. His presence provided valuable support to the launch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The start of the control arm vaccination was met with great enthusiasm and strong collaboration.
