As part of the IMVACS project, two cross-sectional surveys are planned at the end of the peak malaria season (November 2025 and November 2026) in selected districts of Mali and Burkina Faso.
The surveys assess vaccination coverage (EPI), SMC coverage, bednet use, and malaria parasitaemia prevalence in the community.
The first survey was conducted in Mali (20th Nov – 6th Dec 2025), involving 824 children (412 in the control arm and 412 in the intervention arm) across 16 clusters:
➡️Control arm: Dégnékoro, Falani central, N’gara, N’tjila fignana, N’tobougou, Siankoro, Togo, Wacoro
➡️Intervention arm: Banco, Baou-foulala, Kola, Koula, N’djifina, N’golobougou, Sanakoro, Senou
In Burkina Faso (18th Nov – 3rd Dec 2025), the first survey involved 824 children (412 in the control arm and 412 in the intervention arm) across 20 clusters:
➡️ Control arm: Sao, Mouni, Zeguedeghin, Sanon, Sourgoubila, Gonsin, Golmidou, Koui, Lao, Sandogo de Bousse
➡️Intervention arm: Wa, Napalgue, Gorpila, Damsi, Sandogo, Guesna, Likenkelse, Gasma, Kaonghin, Sapeo
