IMVACS at ASTMH 2025

Some of our team proudly joined the ASTMH 2025 Annual Meeting from 9th to 13th November in Toronto, one of the most prestigious international gatherings in the field of tropical medicine, hygiene and global health.

Professor Halidou Tinto (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique et Technologique – Institut de Recherche en Sciences de la Santé, CNRST/IRSS) shared his experience in “Challenges in planning new malaria vaccine trials – experience in the field”, while Dr. Natama H. Magloire (CNRST/IRSS) explored “Opportunities and challenges for multi-stage malaria vaccines trials in Africa”.
Joining them as part of the IMVACS team were Prof. Kassoum Kayentao (University of Sciences, Techniques and Technologies of Bamako, USTTB), Dr. Jenny Hill and Jenna Hoyt (Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, LSTM).

The five days offered a unique opportunity to take part in a premier international forum, featuring world-class research, clinical insights and engaging scientific dialogues leaded by renowned experts and innovators. The conference included a rich programme of plenary talks, scientific sessions, workshops and networking opportunities, providing a vibrant environment to exchange ideas, gain new perspectives and build meaningful collaborations.
